Esmee Denters (née le 28 septembre 1988 à Arnhem, Pays-Bas) est une chanteuse et compositrice néerlandaise bilingue en anglais et en néerlandais. Elle est devenue célèbre grâce à ses vidéos de reprises sur YouTube, où elle interprétait des chansons d'artistes contemporains comme Justin Timberlake et Natasha Bedingfield. En 2007, elle a signé avec Columbia Records et a sorti son premier album, "Outta Here", en 2009. Son single de lancement, "Admit It", est devenu un succès international, se classant dans plusieurs pays. Denters est connue pour son style vocal distinctif et ses mélodies accrocheuses. J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
