A Tribe Called Quest est un groupe de hip hop américain formé en 1988 à Queens, New York. Composé de Q-Tip (MC), Phife Dawg (MC) et Ali Shaheed Muhammad (producteur), le groupe a sorti cinq albums studio, dont les trois premiers ont été acclamés par la critique et ont eu une influence significative sur la scène hip hop des années 1990. Leur album de début, *People's Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm* (1990), n'a pas connu un succès commercial immédiat et a reçu des critiques mitigées. Cependant, avec le temps, il est devenu reconnu comme un album fondamental du genre, grâce à des morceaux comme "Can I Kick It?", qui a atteint une popularité au-delà de la scène hip hop. J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
Le film très critiqué «Musique» de Sia qui voit son début en tant que réalisatrice vient d'être nominé comme meilleur film au Golden Globe 2021. L'actrice principale Kate Hudson a été nominée dans la catégorie Meilleure actrice.
