Sizzla, dont le vrai nom est Miguel Orlando Collins, est un chanteur et producteur musical jamaïcain né à Kingston en 1976. Considéré comme l'un des artistes les plus influents du genre dancehall, Sizzla a acquis une renommée internationale dans les années 1990 grâce à son style vocal puissant et ses rimes incisives. Ses chansons traitent souvent de thèmes sociaux tels que la pauvreté, la justice sociale et la spiritualité rastafarien. Parmi ses titres les plus connus figurent "Black Woman", "Solidarity" et "Thank You Mama". J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
