J. Cole, dont le vrai nom est Jermaine Lamarr Cole, est un rappeur, chanteur et producteur de disques américain né à Fayetteville, Caroline du Nord, en 1985. Considéré comme l'un des rappeurs les plus influents de sa génération, J. Cole se distingue par ses paroles introspectives, ses thèmes sociaux et sa production musicale de haute qualité. Après avoir publié des mixtapes indépendantes qui ont attiré l'attention du public et de l'industrie musicale, il a signé avec Roc Nation en 2009. Son album de début, *Cole World: The Sideline Story* (2011), est devenu un succès commercial et critique, atteignant la première place du Billboard 200. J.
