Ray Stevens, né Harold Ray Ragsdale le 24 janvier 1939 à Atlanta, en Géorgie, est un chanteur, compositeur, humoriste et producteur de disques américain. Stevens est devenu célèbre dans les années 1960 avec des succès country-pop comme "Gitarzan" et "The Streak", qui est devenu un succès international en 1974. Son style musical combine des éléments de musique country, gospel et bluegrass, souvent avec une touche comique et satirique. Outre la musique, Stevens est connu pour ses performances théâtrales et télévisuelles, où il interprète des personnages drôles et des situations hilarantes. Il a remporté de nombreux prix, dont le Grammy Award du meilleur interprétation vocale country en 1975 pour "The Streak". J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
