Mobb Deep è stato un duo hip hop statunitense formato dai rapper Havoc (Jason Irvine) e Prodigy (Albert Johnson). Attivi dal 1990 fino alla morte di Prodigy nel 2017, sono considerati pilastri della Golden Era dell'East Coast hip hop. Il loro stile musicale è caratterizzato da testi cuciti con realismo crudo sulla vita nelle strade di Queensbridge, New York, e produzioni dark e atmosferiche. Il loro album di debutto *Juvenile Hell* (1993) ha introdotto il mondo al loro sound distintivo. Tuttavia, è stato il secondo album, *The Infamous* (1995), a consacrarli come icone del genere. Con brani come «Shook Ones (Part II)» e «Survival of the Fittest», Mobb Deep hanno definito l'estetica sonora dell'East Coast hip hop degli anni '90. J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
