I Kinks sono un gruppo rock britannico formatosi a Londra nel 1963 e attivo fino al 1996. Considerati uno dei gruppi più influenti della British Invasion, hanno lasciato un'impronta indelebile sulla musica rock con il loro sound caratteristico che mescolava melodie pop orecchiabili a testi introspettivi e spesso satirici. La formazione originale comprendeva Ray Davies (voce, chitarra), Dave Davies (chitarra), Mick Avory (batteria) e Pete Quaife (basso). Quest'ultimo fu sostituito da John Dalton nel 1966 e poi definitivamente nel 1969. Il sont 7, ils ont presque tous la vingtaine, ils aiment le post-rock et aussi expérimenter différents sons. Plus qu'un groupe, Black Country est une communauté.
J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
