David Banner, nom d'artiste de Lavell Crump (né le 11 avril 1973), est un rappeur et producteur de disques américain. Originaire de Jackson, Mississippi, il a fréquenté l'université Southern avant de se faire connaître comme membre du duo de rap Crooked Lettaz. En 2000, il fait ses débuts en tant qu'artiste solo avec "Them Firewater Boyz, Vol. 1" et signe avec Universal Records en 2003. Avec le label, il sort quatre albums : "Mississippi: The Album" (2003), "MTA2: Baptized in Dirty Water" (2004), "Certified" (2005) et "The Greatest Story Ever Told" (2008).
