The Residents sono un gruppo musicale sperimentale statunitense formatosi a San Francisco, California, negli anni '70. Rinomati per il loro stile enigmatico e l'uso di maschere e costumi che nascondono le loro identità, The Residents hanno esplorato una vasta gamma di generi musicali, tra cui rock progressivo, avant-garde, jazz e musica elettronica.
