August Anthony Alsina Jr., connu simplement sous le nom d'August Alsina, est un chanteur et rappeur américain né à New Orleans, en Louisiane, le 3 septembre 1992. Il a commencé sa carrière musicale à l'âge de 14 ans en publiant des mixtapes indépendantes. En 2014, il a atteint la renommée nationale avec son album de début "Testimony", qui comprenait le succès "I Luv This Shit". J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
