Motion City Soundtrack è una rock band americana proveniente da Minneapolis, Minnesota. Formatasi nel 1997, il gruppo ha visto cambiare la sua formazione nel corso degli anni, ma i membri fondatori Justin Pierre (voce e chitarra) e Joshua Cain (chitarra e cori) rimangono ancora oggi parte integrante del progetto. Completano la line-up Jesse Johnson (tastiere e sintetizzatore Moog), Matthew Taylor (basso e cori) e Tony Thaxton (batteria, percussioni e cori). Motion City Soundtrack ha pubblicato quattro album in studio, vendendo quasi 600.000 copie in tutto il mondo, di cui oltre mezzo milione negli Stati Uniti.
