Pastor Troy, de son vrai nom Micah LeVar Troy, est un rappeur américain né à Atlanta, Géorgie, en 1976. Actif depuis la fin des années 90, Pastor Troy a gagné en popularité grâce à son style de rap hardcore caractérisé par des rimes rapides et des paroles souvent violentes. Il est connu pour avoir introduit le terme « trap » dans la musique hip hop, anticipant l'évolution du genre dans les années suivantes. Parmi ses morceaux les plus célèbres figurent "No More Candy", "Welcome to Atlanta" et "I Ain't Goin' Nowhere". J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
