Busta Rhymes, dont le vrai nom est Trevor Tahiem Smith Jr., est un rappeur, producteur de disques et acteur américain né à Long Island, New York, en 1972. Considéré comme l'un des pionniers du rap hardcore des années 1990, Busta Rhymes se distingue par son flow rapide, ses rimes complexes et sa présence scénique énergique. Il a commencé sa carrière en tant que membre du groupe Leaders of the New School, collaborant avec des artistes comme A Tribe Called Quest et De La Soul. En 1996, il fait ses débuts en solo avec l'album "The Coming", suivi de succès tels que "When Disaster Strikes" (1997) et "E.L.E.M.E.N.T.S." (2000). Parmi ses chansons les plus représentatives figurent "Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Can See", "Scenario" et "What's It Gonna Be?!". J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
Le film très critiqué «Musique» de Sia qui voit son début en tant que réalisatrice vient d'être nominé comme meilleur film au Golden Globe 2021. L'actrice principale Kate Hudson a été nominée dans la catégorie Meilleure actrice.
