Sir George Ivan Morrison, connu sous le nom de Van Morrison, est un auteur-compositeur-interprète, multi-instrumentiste et parolire nord-irlandais né à Belfast en 1945. Considéré comme l'un des artistes de musique populaire les plus influents du XXe siècle, Morrison a traversé divers genres musicaux, du rock folk au jazz, en passant par le blues et la soul. Sa carrière, commencée dans les années 1960 avec Them, l'a mené à une renommée internationale avec des albums comme "Astral Weeks" (1968), considéré comme un chef-d'œuvre du genre psychédélique, et "Moondance" (1970), qui l'a établi comme l'un des auteurs-compositeurs-interprètes les plus aimés au monde.
