Michael Franti est un auteur-compositeur-interprète, poète et producteur de disques américain né le 21 avril 1966. D'ascendance africaine, amérindienne, irlandaise, française et allemande, Franti est connu pour sa musique qui fusionne des éléments de hip hop, reggae, rock et folk. Il a commencé sa carrière dans les années 1980 avec le groupe The Beatnigs, puis a formé Spearhead en 1994.
