Westlife est un groupe de pop irlandais formé à Sligo en 1998. Le groupe, composé de Shane Filan, Mark Feehily, Kian Egan et Nicky Byrne, a connu un succès énorme en Europe et dans le monde entier avec son pop mélodique caractérisée par des arrangements orchestrales et des paroles romantiques. Leur album d' estreia éponyme (1999) a été un succès immédiat, suivi d'autres succès comme *Coast to Coast* (2000), *World of Our Own* (2001) et *Unbreakable - The Greatest Hits Vol. 1* (2002). En 2004, Brian McFadden a quitté le groupe, mais les quatre membres restants ont continué à sortir des albums à succès comme *Allow Us to Be Frank* (2004), *The Love Album* (2006) et *Face to Face* (2005). J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
Le film très critiqué «Musique» de Sia qui voit son début en tant que réalisatrice vient d'être nominé comme meilleur film au Golden Globe 2021. L'actrice principale Kate Hudson a été nominée dans la catégorie Meilleure actrice.
