Naughty by Nature est un groupe de hip-hop américain formé à East Orange, dans le New Jersey, en 1991. Le trio original était composé de Treach (né le 2 décembre 1970), Vin Rock (né le 17 septembre 1970) et DJ Kay Gee (né le 15 septembre 1969). Le groupe a connu la gloire dans les années 90 avec un son caractérisé par des rythmes énergiques, des paroles provocatrices et une forte influence funk. Parmi leurs succès les plus connus figurent "O.P.P.", "Hip Hop Hooray" et "Jamboree". Naughty by Nature est considéré comme l'un des groupes de hip-hop les plus influents des années 90, ayant contribué à définir le style et l'image d'un genre musical en constante évolution. J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
