Lou Bega, pseudonimo di David Lubega Balemezi, è un cantante tedesco di origini italiane ed ugandesi. Nato a Berlino nel 1975, ha raggiunto la fama internazionale nel 1999 con il suo singolo "Mambo No. 5". Il brano, una fusione di musica latina e pop, ha scalato le classifiche mondiali, vendendo oltre 8 milioni di copie. Bega ha continuato a pubblicare album di successo negli anni successivi, mantenendo un sound caratterizzato da ritmi latini, influenze jazz e testi orecchiabili.
