Drive-By Truckers sono una band americana di musica country alternativa con sede ad Atene, in Georgia. Sebbene tre membri su sei (Mike Cooley, Patterson Hood e Shonna Tucker) siano originari della regione di Shoals nel nord dell'Alabama, la band ha radici profonde nella scena musicale del sud degli Stati Uniti. Il loro sound è caratterizzato da un "three axe attack", ovvero tre chitarre che si aggiungono a basso e batteria. Come molti altri artisti country alternativi, i Drive-By Truckers registrano in analogico (utilizzando nastri di 2 pollici). A differenza della maggior parte dei loro contemporanei, però, hanno costantemente spinto le loro etichette a rilasciare anche i loro album in formato vinile. Tra i brani più rappresentativi si ricordano "Decoration Day", "The Boys From Alabama" e "Carl Perkins' Cash".
