Jaheim Hoagland, connu simplement sous le nom de Jaheim, est un chanteur et compositeur américain de R and B et soul. Né à Brooklyn, New York, en 1978, il a commencé sa carrière musicale au début des années 2000. Son album de début, *Ghetto Love*, sorti en 2002, est devenu un succès commercial grâce au single "Put You Down", qui a atteint la première place du classement Billboard Hot R and B/Hip-Hop Songs. Jaheim est connu pour son style vocal puissant et mélodique, influencé par des artistes comme Marvin Gaye et Teddy Pendergrass. Parmi ses albums les plus importants figurent *Still Ghetto*, *The Makings of a Man* et *Another Round*. Il a collaboré avec plusieurs artistes renommés, notamment Fabolous, Lil' Kim et Busta Rhymes. J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
