Jeff Buckley (1967-1997) è stato un cantautore e chitarrista statunitense considerato uno dei più grandi talenti musicali della sua generazione. Nato Jeffrey Scott Buckley a Anaheim, in California, ha trascorso la sua infanzia tra diverse città degli Stati Uniti, influenzato dalla musica di suo padre, Tim Buckley, anch'egli musicista folk-rock. Dopo aver studiato canto e chitarra, Jeff si trasferì a New York nel 1988, dove iniziò a esibirsi in locali underground. Nel 1994 pubblicò il suo album d'esordio, *Grace*, un lavoro acclamato dalla critica che lo consacrò come artista di talento. L'album includeva brani iconici come "Hallelujah", una cover del brano originale di Leonard Cohen reinterpretata con potenza e sensibilità emotiva, e "Lover You Should've Come Over". La sua musica era caratterizzata da un'ampia gamma vocale, influenze diverse che spaziavano dal rock progressivo al folk, e testi poetici e introspettivi. Il sont 7, ils ont presque tous la vingtaine, ils aiment le post-rock et aussi expérimenter différents sons. Plus qu'un groupe, Black Country est une communauté.
J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
