Genesis était un groupe de rock britannique actif de 1967 à 2007. À l'origine un groupe de rock progressif, ils ont exploré divers genres musicaux tout au long de leur carrière, notamment le pop rock, l'art rock et la musique classique. Formé par Peter Gabriel (chant, flûte), Tony Banks (claviers, chœurs), Mike Rutherford (basse, guitare), Phil Collins (batterie, chant) et Steve Hackett (guitare), Genesis a connu un succès mondial avec des albums comme *Selling England by the Pound* (1973), *The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway* (1974) et *Invisible Touch* (1986). Après le départ de Gabriel en 1975, Phil Collins a pris la relève au chant. J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
