Gli Slipknot sono una band heavy metal statunitense formatasi a Des Moines, Iowa, nel 1995. Conosciuti per il loro stile musicale aggressivo e la presenza scenica teatrale, caratterizzata da maschere distintive e costumi elaborati, gli Slipknot hanno raggiunto un'enorme popolarità internazionale. Il loro sound combina elementi di nu metal, groove metal e death metal, con influenze provenienti dal hardcore punk e dall'industrial. Tra i brani più rappresentativi figurano "Wait and Bleed", "Duality" e "Psychosocial".
