Neal Morse è un musicista statunitense di fama internazionale, noto soprattutto per la sua attività nel progressive rock. Nato a 1964, ha iniziato la sua carriera musicale negli anni '80 con il gruppo Spock's Beard, fondato insieme al chitarrista Dave Meros. Con Spock's Beard, Morse ha contribuito a definire un nuovo sound progressivo, caratterizzato da melodie intricate, testi poetici e una forte componente jazzistica. Oltre alla sua attività con Spock's Beard, Morse è anche membro dei supergruppi Transatlantic e Flying Colors, collaborando con alcuni dei più grandi nomi del progressive rock mondiale come Mike Portnoy, Roine Stolt e Steve Hackett. Morse è un polistrumentista di talento, ma il suo strumento principale è il pianoforte. La sua tecnica virtuosistica e la sua capacità di comporre melodie memorabili lo hanno reso uno degli artisti più apprezzati nel panorama progressive rock contemporaneo. Tra i suoi brani più rappresentativi si ricordano "The Sky Is Falling", "The Way Home" e "The Great Adventure".
