Boss Hogg Outlawz est un collectif hip hop basé à Houston, au Texas, fondé par le rappeur Slim Thug et son frère Rayface. Le groupe comprend également Killa Kyleon, J-Dawg, Young Black, PJ Tha Rap Hustler, Chris Ward, Sir Daily et Rob Smallz, le seul artiste R and B du groupe. Slim Thug, après une période de collaboration avec Swishahouse, a décidé en 2000 de lancer son propre label indépendant pour un meilleur contrôle sur les revenus. Boss Hogg Outlawz a publié de nombreuses mixtape et albums indépendants au fil des ans. En 2004, Slim Thug a signé un contrat avec Interscope Records, tout en maintenant l'indépendance de son label et en continuant à publier de la musique indépendante. Interscope a également distribué à l'échelle nationale l'album le plus réussi du groupe, *Already Platinum* (2005) de Slim Thug. En 2007, Boss Hogg Outlawz a sorti *Serve and Collect* avec Koch Records. Après quelques problèmes internes et des retards dans la sortie du deuxième album de Slim Thug, *Boss of All Bosses*, le rappeur a demandé la résiliation de son contrat avec Interscope en 2008 pour retourner aux racines indépendantes de son label.
