Sean Paul, all'anagrafe Sean Paul Ryan Francis Henriques, è un cantante e rapper giamaicano nato a Kingston il 9 gennaio 1973. Considerato uno dei pionieri del genere dancehall internazionale, ha raggiunto fama mondiale negli anni 2000 grazie al suo stile musicale che fonde elementi di reggae, hip hop, pop e R and B. Tra i suoi successi più noti figurano "Get Busy", "Temperature" e "We Be Burnin'". Ha collaborato con artisti internazionali come Beyoncé, Dua Lipa e Sia, ottenendo numerosi premi tra cui un Grammy Award nel 2004 per il brano "Gimme the Light". La sua musica è caratterizzata da ritmi incalzanti, testi accattivanti e una forte presenza scenica. Sean Paul rimane uno degli artisti giamaicani più influenti a livello globale.

J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
