Common, né Lonnie Rashid Lynn Jr., est un rappeur, producteur discographique, acteur et écrivain américain originaire de Chicago, Illinois. Il a débuté sa carrière en 1994 sous le nom de Common Sense avec l'album "Resurrection", qui l'a établi comme l'un des rappeurs les plus talentueux de sa génération. J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
