Billy Strings, pseudonimo di William Lee Apostol, è un chitarrista e cantante bluegrass americano nato nel 1990 in Michigan. Considerato uno dei più talentuosi interpreti della tradizione bluegrass contemporanea, Billy Strings si distingue per la sua tecnica virtuosistica alla chitarra e per il suo stile energico e innovativo che fonde elementi di rock, folk e jam band. La sua musica è caratterizzata da un ritmo incalzante, melodie accattivanti e testi spesso introspettivi. Dopo aver iniziato a suonare in giovane età, Billy Strings ha rapidamente guadagnato fama nel circuito bluegrass nazionale, collaborando con artisti come Leftover Salmon e The Infamous Stringdusters.
