Boot Camp Clik est un supergroupe de hip-hop américain originaire de Brooklyn, New York. Le groupe se compose de huit rappeurs provenant de figures importantes du paysage hip-hop new-yorkais : Buckshot (de Black Moon), Smif-N-Wessun (Tek et Steele, également connus sous le nom de Cocoa Brovaz), Heltah Skeltah (Rock et Ruck, alias Sean Price) et O.G.C. (Originoo Gunn Clappaz) (Starang Wondah, Top Dog et Louieville Sluggah). Le groupe est apparu dans les années 1990, contribuant à définir le son du hip-hop underground de Brooklyn avec une esthétique brute et des paroles souvent introspectives. Parmi leurs morceaux les plus représentatifs figurent "The Militia", "What It Is" et "Brooklyn Zoo". Boot Camp Clik a sorti plusieurs albums, dont "For the People" (1994) et "The Chosen Few" (2000).

J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
