Good Charlotte est un groupe américain de pop-punk formé à Waldorf, Maryland, en 1997. Composé de Joel Madden (chant, guitare), Benji Madden (guitare, chant), Paul Thomas (basse) et Aaron Escolop (batterie), le groupe a atteint la renommée internationale au début des années 2000 avec des albums comme *The Young and the Hopeless* (2002) et *Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous*. Leur son caractéristique, un mélange de mélodies accrocheuses et de paroles introspectives sur le thème de l'adolescence, a conquis un public jeune dans le monde entier. J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
