Common, all'anagrafe Lonnie Rashid Lynn Jr., è un rapper, produttore discografico, attore e scrittore statunitense nato a Chicago nel 1972. Inizialmente noto come Common Sense, ha debuttato nel 1994 con l'album "Resurrection", che lo ha consacrato come uno dei rapper più talentuosi della scena hip-hop contemporanea. Common è noto per le sue rime introspettive e poetiche, spesso incentrate su temi sociali e politici. Ha collaborato con artisti di fama mondiale come Kanye West, John Legend e Erykah Badu. Nel 2006 ha vinto il suo primo Grammy Award per la canzone "The People", tratta dall'album "Be". J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
