Shinedown est un groupe de rock américain formé à Jacksonville, en Floride, au début de l'année 2001. Le groupe se compose de Brent Smith (chant), Zach Myers (guitare), Eric Bass (basse) et Barry Kerch (batterie). Connus pour leur son puissant et mélodique, ils ont connu un grand succès aux États-Unis avec des albums comme "Leave a Whisper" (2003), "Us and Them" (2005) et "The Sound of Madness" (2008), ce dernier certifié multiplatine. Parmi leurs chansons les plus célèbres figurent "Fly on the Wings of Love", "Second Chance", "Sound of Madness" et "Devour". Shinedown a été l'une des groupes de rock les plus populaires des années 2010, avec une base de fans dévouée et de nombreux tournées internationales.

J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
