Aaliyah (de son vrai nom Aaliyah Dana Haughton) était une chanteuse et actrice américaine considérée comme une icône de la musique R and B des années 90. Née à Brooklyn, New York, en 1979, elle a commencé sa carrière musicale à l'âge de 12 ans avec l'album "Age Ain't Nothing But a Number". Son style vocal distinctif, caractérisé par une voix douce et mélodique, combiné à un son R and B contemporain influencé par le hip-hop, a rapidement conquis le public.
