Big L, de son vrai nom Lamont Coleman (1974-1999), était un rappeur américain considéré comme l'un des plus talentueux et influents du genre hip hop hardcore. Né à Harlem, New York, Big L a commencé sa carrière musicale dans les années 1990, collaborant avec des artistes comme Jay-Z et Mobb Deep. Son style de rap se caractérisait par des rimes complexes, une vitesse de débit et un flow unique. Big L est connu pour des morceaux comme "M.V.P.", "Ebonics" et "Lifestyle", présents sur son album posthume "The Big Picture". Sa carrière a été tragiquement interrompue par un meurtre en 1999, laissant un vide important dans la scène hip hop.
