Sufjan Stevens est un auteur-compositeur-interprète et multi-instrumentiste américain né à Detroit en 1975. Connu pour sa musique folk indie riche en arrangements orchestrales et en paroles poétiques, Stevens a publié une vaste discographie d'albums qui explorent des thèmes tels que la foi, l'amour, la perte et la famille. Parmi ses œuvres les plus notables figurent *Illinois* (2005), un album concept célébrant l'État américain de l'Illinois, et *Carrie and Lowell* (2015), un album autobiographique profondément personnel inspiré par sa relation avec sa mère décédée.
