Sean Paul, all'anagrafe Sean Paul Ryan Francis Henriques, è un cantante e rapper giamaicano nato a Kingston il 9 gennaio 1973. Considerato uno dei pionieri del genere dancehall internazionale, ha raggiunto fama mondiale negli anni 2000 grazie al suo stile musicale che fonde elementi di reggae, hip hop, pop e R and B. Tra i suoi successi più noti figurano "Get Busy", "Temperature" e "We Be Burnin'". Ha collaborato con artisti internazionali come Beyoncé, Dua Lipa e Sia, ottenendo numerosi premi tra cui un Grammy Award nel 2004 per il brano "Gimme the Light". J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
